Chapter 10 – Martigny, Switzerland

It was a very good decision to spend a day and 2 nights in Martigny, a town with a lot of history, known for its emphasis on arts, exhibitions, vineyards (build on steep hills) and orchards.

We begun by going to the tourist info center where a VERY nice young man provided us with a wonderful orientation to the city and answered our many questions. The highlight of our visit was viewing the fabulous traveling exhibit of 110 of Picasso’s latest work which we throughly enjoyed:

It just happened that the exhibit was housed in the same building as the antique car museum and the sculpture garden both really nice:

We visited three churches and the old section of town, had a wonderful (and quite expensive😳) Thai food and enjoyed sipping coffee at cafe’s along the pedestrian mall:

Our only disappointment was the hacking of my phone while using the hotel’s wifi (curious as my VPN was on.) Thanks to google I got a “you are being hacked message” immediately and all is well.

We took the train, and then a bus (with amazing views) to Chaminex on Sept 12. It was great to have the company of a couple of sweet Israeli youngsters in this trip. They helped us reminisce about our precious years of service at Baha’i World Center.
